Fredik Modin said to have deal with Atlanta Thrashers

Left winger Fredrik Modin(notes) is headed to the Atlanta Thrashers, according to the Swedish website Aftonbladet. It is believed he has signed a one-year contract. Financial terms were not available.
Modin, 35, finished last season with the Los Angeles Kings, nfl jerseys
who acquired him on March 3 from the Columbus Blue Jackets. He appeared in 44 games last season, finished with five goals and six assists.

Injuries have been a bugaboo for Modin in recent seasons. In 2009-10, he missed the first 31 games with a bum right knee and nine more with a bruised right foot.
When healthy, Modin has a powerful shot and twice had more than 30 goals in a season.
